From the backroads of Northern Michigan, Silver Creek Revival (SCR) is an Americana/Indie Folk band founded on the idea that the songs come first - songs that are simple, profound and accessible. SCR crafts their songs with a unique approach using banjo, saxophone, lush harmonies and an intuitive rhythm section. The songs - and the band - tell a story.
Ashley is a singer/songwriter who draws from her creative writing studies and life observations to write honest songs. She combines decades of vocal experience with light-hearted banjo playing. She is led by her ear and a relentless search for universal truths.
Sam comes from a musical family, and began playing music at the age of six, studying both jazz guitar and classical violin. He credits much of his songwriting inspiration to artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, and Bob Dylan.
Jack's musical journey began at 10 years old, after receiving a 1975 Ludwig snare drum from his parents. That same drum has been with him through numerous bands, on stages all over Michigan, and coast to coast. A musical drummer, the challenge to play "what's right for the song" has developed his style and versatility as a musician.
With saxophone as her principal instrument, Hannah has a passion for exploring all aspects of sound, which led her to create music on multiple instruments, and pursue an audio technology degree. As an Interlochen Alum, a singer/songwriter, former member of the NMC jazz band, and the Cadillac Symphony Orchestra, she brings her experience home to her musical family that is Silver Creek Revival.
